3 questions, one good AI tool. Plans and free limits change often, so always check the current plan on the tool’s official site.
What is the AI Tool Finder?
The AI Tool Finder is a free quiz for beginners, creators and designers who do not know which AI tool to use. Answer three quick questions about your task, budget and skill level, and it suggests one clear AI tool for video, images or design, with a short reason why. No sign-up.

How to use this tool
- Under What do you want to make? choose Video, Image or Design.
- Under Budget? choose Free or Paid.
- Under Level? choose Beginner or Advanced.
- Press Show me the tool. You get one tool (or a small combo of tools) and a one-line reason why it fits.
- Open the official site of that tool and check its current plan and limits before you start.
There are 12 possible answers, one for each mix of goal, budget and level. The list is short on purpose. Too many options is the main reason beginners never start.
Tips for getting good results
- Start with the free option, even if you plan to pay later. You learn what you actually need.
- For video, make a still image first and then animate it. This keeps the look and the character the same from clip to clip.
- Write clear prompts. The Prompt Library has ready examples you can copy and change.
- Keep one short project in mind, like a 10 second reel or one Pinterest pin, and finish it before you try another tool.
When to use it
Use it when you are new to AI tools and do not know where to begin, or when you want a second opinion before you pay for a plan. If you want to see how these tools work on real projects, read my AI Experiments Lab, where I share prompts, settings and what went wrong.
Questions people ask
Why does it show only one answer?
One clear starting point is easier to act on than a long list. Once you are comfortable, you can try other tools.
Are the free plans really free?
Most free plans have daily or monthly limits, and they change often. Always check the tool’s own website for the current limits.
Which tools do you use yourself?
For video I mostly use Nano Banana for images, Google Flow for clips and CapCut for editing. That is the paid, advanced answer in this tool.
Can AI replace a 3D render?
Not for exact designs. AI is great for ideas and reels, while 3D is better when sizes and materials must be exact. See 3D vs AI for a full comparison.
