Pinterest is a search engine

People do not scroll Pinterest only for fun. They search for ideas, like “small kitchen design” or “watch wallpaper”. If your pin title and description use the words they type, your pin can show up for months.

What makes a good pin title

Put the main keyword at the start. Keep it clear and under 100 characters. Tell people what they get: ideas, a free download, or a step by step guide.

Descriptions that help

Write one or two natural sentences with your keyword and a related phrase. Add a reason to save or click. Two or three hashtags are enough. Stuffing keywords looks spammy and does not help.

Questions people ask

How long should a Pinterest title be?

Up to 100 characters. Only the first part may show in the feed, so put the keyword first.

How long can a pin description be?

Up to 500 characters. One to three natural sentences usually work best.

Do hashtags work on Pinterest?

They matter less than keywords now. Two or three relevant hashtags are fine.

How to use this tool

  1. Type your main keyword, the words people would search for, like “small kitchen design”.
  2. Choose the pin type: Blog post / ideas, Product, Freebie / download, or How-to / tutorial.
  3. Add an extra detail if you want, like “for small apartments”. It is optional.
  4. Press Generate. You get five titles and three descriptions.
  5. Click any line to copy it, then paste it into Pinterest. Titles stay under 100 characters and descriptions under 500.

The tool also adds a few hashtags to each description, made from the longer words in your keyword. Edit them if they do not fit.

When to use it

Use it when you have a pin image ready and need text fast, or when you are making several pins for the same blog post or product and want different titles for each. Treat the results as drafts: read them, change a word or two so they sound like you, and make sure they match what the pin really links to.

Tip: write for people first. A title that clearly says what someone will get, like “10 small kitchen ideas”, usually works better than a clever one.

More questions

Should every pin for one post use the same title?

No. Use different titles and images for each pin. It gives you more chances to show up in search.

Can I use these titles on other platforms?

Yes, with small changes. Titles for YouTube or blog posts may need a different length.

What size should my pin image be?

Tall 2:3 images work best, like 1000 x 1500 px. The Social Media Image Resizer can make that size for you.

Is the tool free to use?

Yes. It is free, there is no signup, and it runs in your browser.
