Experiment: a repeatable AI pipeline for short Islamic stories for young children. I use it for my own YouTube channel, Arham Kids TV, with the same family of characters in every episode.

Goal
Make gentle, simple Islamic stories for young kids, step by step, without a full animation studio, and keep the characters looking the same in every scene and every episode.
How AI helps, part by part
- Character consistency: each character has one reference image. I attach it to every scene prompt, so Arham keeps the same face, cap and kurta.
- Scripts: Gemini helps me turn one lesson into a short story and split it into scenes. I rewrite the lines in simple words myself.
- Scenes: Nano Banana makes each scene image from the reference sheet. Google Flow turns each image into a short clip.
- Thumbnails: I test thumbnail ideas with the same character and leave space for the title.
- Voice and edit: voice-over and editing in CapCut.
Steps
- Write a short story with one clear lesson.
- Split it into scenes, about 12 for a 2 minute episode.
- Use the character reference image so the children look the same in every scene.
- Create the scene images, then turn each one into a short clip.
- Add a simple voice-over and join everything in CapCut.
- Write the title and tags, then test a thumbnail.
Result

The same cap, kurta and face carry from the reference into the scene and the thumbnail test. That is the part that used to break most before I used a reference sheet.
The prompt I used for scenes
Cute 3D animated style, a small boy reading a book under a tree at sunset, soft colors, gentle lighting, peaceful, kids storybook
What worked and what failed
What worked
- A reference image for each character kept them the same across all 12 clips.
- Short, simple sentences worked best for the voice-over.
- Telling the story through narration and ordinary characters kept it respectful.
What failed or needed a fix
- Without the reference, clothes and faces changed from scene to scene.
- Longer episodes lost kids’ interest, so I kept them to about 2 minutes.
- AI sometimes adds text or letters to images, so I ask for “no text” every time.
In Islamic content I do not show the faces of prophets or companions. The story is carried by narration and ordinary characters.
Try it yourself
- Pick one lesson per episode.
- Make a reference image for every main character before any scene.
- Keep scenes short and sentences simple.
- Leave empty space in the thumbnail for a big, easy title.

Questions people ask
How do you keep the kids characters looking the same?
Each main character has one reference image. I attach it to every scene and thumbnail prompt.
How do you handle prophets and companions in the story?
Their faces are not shown. The story is told through narration and ordinary characters.
How long should a kids episode be?
In this project I keep episodes to about 2 minutes, because interest drops in longer ones.
